Founded to provide a launching pad for the next generation of musical theater artists, NYMF was hailed as the “Sundance of musical theater” upon its founding in 2004. During its first decade (under Isaac Hurwitz’s leadership), NYMF premiered more than 350 new musicals. More than 90 of these garnered further productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and around the world, including [title of show], Chaplin, Altar Boyz, and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Next to Normal.
