“Hellooooo!” Children of the ‘90s can rejoice — Mrs. Doubtfire is back and she’s making her stage debut. Based on the 1993 20th Century Fox comedy Mrs. Doubtfire, the musical follows Daniel Hillard, a divorced out-of-work actor who undergoes an elaborate scheme to see his three estranged children. Donning a blonde wig, oversized pearl earrings, and a suspicious Scottish accent, Daniel is transformed into Euphegenia Doubtfire, the no-nonsense but lovable nanny. Mrs Doubtfire features a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, with music and lyrics by Wayne and Karey Kirkpatrick. Four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks directs, with choreography by Lotin Latarro.
